Per Tennessee Code Annotated § 47-18-2107, is defined as: (4) “Personal information”: (A) Means an individual’s first name or first initial and last name, in combination with any one (1) or more of the following data elements: (i) Social security number; (ii) Driver license number; or (iii) Account, credit card, or debit card number, in combination with any required security code, access code, or password that would permit access to an individual’s financial account; and (B) Does not include information that is lawfully made available to the general public from federal, state, or local government records or information that has been redacted, or otherwise made unusable.
