This policy establishes a central framework for how the University of Tennessee will identify, create, develop, approve, communicate, maintain, track and update University Policies, Related Procedures and Guidance Documents to promote transparency and compliance across all Policy Documents.  

The University holds itself to the highest scientific and ethical standards. University employees and researchers must have a unified commitment to honesty and transparency and demonstrate it by adhering to this policy.

The principal mission of the University of Tennessee is the pursuit and the dissemination of knowledge through teaching, research, and service.

The purpose of this policy is to implement state law prohibiting antisemitic harassment and discrimination in the University of Tennessee’s programs and to require all University employees to report complaints of antisemitic harassment or discrimination to the Title VI Coordinator.

This policy is intended to support members of the University community, while also ensuring
that the University’s websites and other digital assets comply with applicable laws and
regulations, and University policies and procedures.

The purpose of this policy is to establish uniformity and consistency regarding the awarding of
credit for prior learning (CPL) for the University of Tennessee. Through this policy, the University
provides a general structure under which campuses should administer and deliver CPL
opportunities to students and support the transfer of CPL credits across the UT System.
