UT Martin does not currently have any equipment with ionizing radiation. The cost of these purchases exceed $25,000.

Should purchasing become aware that an equipment purchase will generate ionizing radiation, purchasing will notify the environmental health and safety officer and the radiation safety officer on campus.

The radiation safety officer will send an email annually reminding faculty and staff that any such purchases require notice.

The campus will develop further procedures when warranted by the use of ionizing radiation.
