All elevators are maintained by an outside contractor under the supervision of the Facilities Services Department. In addition, the Facilities Services Department utilizes nationally-known elevator consultants to monitor service and suggest improvements. General problems with elevators should be reported to the Facilities Services Department for investigation at 946-7777. Interruption of elevator service or specific malfunctions should reported immediately.
If you are on the elevator push the emergency button and Central Alarm will be notified. If someone is trapped, you experience an elevator problem or wish to report a malfunction call the Facilities Services One Call Response Line at 946-7777. Your call will be answered live and service restored. Reporting of problems with elevator service and requests for elevator maintenance are to be made only as specified. If calls are made directly to the elevator contractor which result in charges to The University, the charges will be passed on to the individual making the call.
