Introduction

The College of Health Professions (COHP) will designate honors for all degree programs.

Purpose

Honors graduates in COHP are so designated in recognition of academic distinction achieved in their respective professional curricula. Honors designations receive special mention in the graduation program and are based on the following cumulative grade point averages:

  • 3.50 – 3.64 Graduation with Honors
  • 3.65 – 3.79 Graduation with High Honors
  • 3.80 – 4.00 Graduation with Highest Honors

Graduation honors for baccalaureate program in Audiology and Speech Pathology will be determined using UT Knoxville (UTK) policies and procedures. Latin honors will be used for these graduates based on the criteria above.

The honors category shown in the Commencement program is unofficial and is based on a student’s cumulative average 60 days prior to graduation. Honors designations will only be printed on transcripts for graduates in the baccalaureate program in Audiology and Speech Pathology program.
